Vivian Dsena: Divorce is out of question. Vahbiz and I will make our marriage work

They have been the talk of the town ever since the news of their marriage being in trouble came out. While speculations are rife over the reasons that may have caused tension in their relationship, Vivian Dsenaand Vahbiz Dorabjee claim to be taking time away from each other to sort out their issues. In an exclusive interview with Bombay Times, Vivian talks about problems in his marriage and rumours of a third person crowding their relationship.
What has led to problems in your marriage?
Every couple goes through compatibility issues.And in our case, we are two radically different people — she being a social person and I, asocial. But then again, opposites attract. However, we are not yet done with each other, we have just taken a break. Divorce is out of question. Vahbiz and I will make our marriage work.
How did your families react to this situation?
Our families were shocked, but they respect our decision. They have left it to us to decide what is best for us. This relationship is between Vahbiz and me. And though the families are connected, eventually it’s going to be
our call.
You are more successful than her on the career front. Has that caused ego clashes?

Vivian Dsena rose to fame as the protagonist of Madhubala (aired on Colours since May 2012) who reforms from a negative to a positive character. Vivian, who had begun his career as a model, entered the television industry eventually. It was after his graduation that he entered modeling, and subsequently, he participated in the Gladrags Manhunt Contest in which he was ranked among the top ten models. During this time, he had modeled for the popular Vikram Phadnis and the choreographer Shiamak Davar. He has appeared in a number of commercials that include renowned brands such as Levi’s, Pepe Jeans, Pantaloons, Jet Airways, Spykars, Flying Machine, and Hyundai.

Although Vivian is an Indian, he has mixed origins in him. His father Mr. Duncan Dsena is of Portugeuse descent whereas his mother Mrs. Shyamalata is indigeneously Indian. He has a younger sister named Parvara Garcia. Inheriting his father’s religion, Vivian is a Christian Catholic even though his mother is a Brahmin.
